Best all in 1 cel phone/PDA that isn't an iPhone?

I just reset my 2 year contract w/ Verizon and am looking for the best phone that can compete w/ the iPhone. I love to chat on AOLIM, check my Hotmail account very frequently, and would like to surf the net at a decent speed when I am bored and away from computer access. The Blackberry line has a AOLIM software that allows real time chatting and it does not show you as mobil for your online status. That feature is pretty cool but I don't know what else is out there.
