Swimming at 39 weeks pregnant??

I don't see why not. If you water breaks, you usually still continue to drip out over a period of time. It's not just one gush and that's it. Some people don't even ever get a gush, for some it's just a consistant leak. Anyways, if it broke convieniently at the same time you were swimming and what the recepcionist said was true, then couldn't you theoretically have your water break in the shower and not know? You're right about swimming being comfortable, it helps get all of that extra weight off of you. Your feet and hips and back will feel better. Plus, there are a lot of people who give birth in water, because of the comfort.
