Is it really Un-Islamic to protest against a Government such as Saudi Arabia?

Is it against the Christian faith to protest against the Pope or the Vatican? What about Israel? I think people use their influence to gain support from people of all faiths. Mecca and Medina is supposed to be for Muslims only. So, I can see Muslim fundamentalist defending those areas.
