How should i make my friend forgive me?

My friend trys to have with every girl he dates, and i found out that he likes this girl that ive known for a couple weeks. So her friend called me and asked if my friend liked her and i said yeah, he wants to go out with her and he will try to probably *** her. so her friend told her "Anthonys friend only wants to go out with you just to *** u." I guess she misheard me or something. So the next day my friend asked her out and of course she said no and told him what her friend said. so now my friend is PISSED at me. I even told him that i didnt exactly say what he heard, and he says, "I dont think i can trust you any more". And i asked him a dumb question," Are we still friends?" "I dont think i want to be" he says. and that was the end of our conversation. He never spoke to me again after that. But i try to talk to him but he ignores me... i told the girl he liked that i didnt say what she heard from her friend and she told david but he wouldnt listen to her either, and i dont think he likes her any more because he thinks that she thinks he only "uses" girls... what the hell should i do
