Why does Eckhart Tolle prescribe forced dissociation to naturally dissociated people?
All I can say is T.F.B. No one forced you to read the book, did they? Many things you will encounter in life won't live up to your expectations, so get over it or you'll be perpetually unhappy about something. It isn't as if he wrote the book with you in mind, is it? I also disagree that dissociation cannot be taught and that it can only be attained through trauma. Trauma is but one way to create dissociation. Additionally, it is a subject that is really more pertinent to psychology than philosophy.
